In the HBO series True Blood, she played her character Daphne. Ashley Jones obtained a Bachelor of Human Learning (K-8) from University of Tennessee at Martin, in 1997. She started out her career as a teacher of Reading in Kindergarten and the 1st Grade at Maury County. In 1998, she got married to the love of her life and UT Martin sweetheart Brent Jones and relocated into Thompsons Station. Bethesda Elementary is where she began teaching fourth grade. In 1999 and 2000 she continued on to teach as she completed her Masters in Instruction at Trevecca Nazarene University but stepped away from the classroom when they welcomed their youngest son Baylor into their family in 2000. Ashley was a 15-year volunteer for her church, community and children. Ashley is director of the Preschool Ministry, and in Student Ministry since over 13 years. Ashley and her family homeschooled for 3 years. While they were homeschooling they attended a family school class which Ashley was also a teacher of History to Kindergarten and 1st grade. Ashley loved being at home with her family and she loved to teach the children. However, God made it clear that the time was right for the family to move back full-time. Brent and Ashley are parents to five children. Silas Eliza and Cruz are all students at GCA. Baylor a GCA grad plays baseball for the University of Tennessee Martin. Callan, another GCA graduate, attends Western Kentucky University. This is a group full of people who enjoy fishing, hunting and bond with each other in their favorite sports.
